It was supposedly pet friendly online. However, the notice in the index at the motel specifically says no pets permitted. I LIKED THAT I HAD A DECENT MATTRESS & GOOD PILLOWS....SINCE THE PREVIOUS WEEK I WAS IN A MOTEL THAT WAS SADLY LACKING IN THAT AREA. BATHROOM WAS WELL MAINTAINED AS WAS THE ROOM ITSELF. IT WAS BRIGHT, AIRY & CLEAN.
The fact that it said pet friendly online & was most definitely not pet friendly when I was leaving.

The hotel was budget friendly. But people should not be expecting luxury.
The room was basic but large. The WIFI needed to be more reliable.

Inexpensive, close to town, easy highway access.
Would not refund for cancellation! Gave two days notice that we wanted to cancel last night of a four day stay and they refused to refund that night. We should have booked our stay one day at a time!

Very quaint facility reminiscent of the early days of motels before the chains took over.
The Maine Turnpike [clearly constructed after the motel] is located very close to the rear of the facility so there was a bit more traffic noise than would be desirable. However, the noise would have been far worse had this been I-95 in northern VA. : )

I found it to be comforable & relaxing, and very quiet.

Older building but clean, comfortable accomodations. It is apparent the owners are trying to spruce it up. Easy off/on I-95. Stayed for one night on our way to Maine and we found the Turnpike Motel to be better than we expected given the price and star rating. It was a good place to lay our heads for the night, shower and get on with our travels.
The light at the top of the outside staircase was burned out and when I reported it at the front desk for safety sake I was told that I should not be using those stairs and to use the inside staircase at the end of the building opposite our room location.

easy access to/from turnpike and to antique shops on Route 1. The manager is very friendly and accommodating to our needs.

The room was clean and well organised. There was a high table made with three or four stools which was quite convenient, a small fridge and a microwave oven. The room served its purpose which was for a weekend escape with the family. Being right next the Maine turnpike was a plus for us making it easy to drve to nearby towns and beaches.
It was nice having a barbecue handy, but the motel should provide some charcoal. Also they should provide cooking utensils.

It was a horrible experience, the lady at the front desk could speak english. She came knocking on our door late at night complaining of our friend stopping by. So we told her to chage another person of that would make her happy. The situation just got worse and she told us to leave and I told her we were gonna call the cops. We were being loud, or drinking or anything.

Room was nice for the money. The only downfall was looking out at the Maine Turnpike.
